The very close friend of Steve Jobs, Larry Ellison, recently came to surface in an interview with Charlie Rose in ‘CBS This Morning’.  In the clip, we see the Oracle CEO expressing his opinion on how Apple will be without the former CEO.

Here is the quote we see in the clip (via AllThingsD):

“Well, we already know,” Ellison told Rose. “We saw — we conducted the experiment. I mean, it’s been done. We saw Apple with Steve Jobs. We saw Apple without Steve Jobs. We saw Apple with Steve Jobs. Now, we’re gonna see Apple without Steve Jobs.”

Larry Ellison seems to be referring to the history of Steve Jobs with Apple.  How the company performed when they were without Apple and under the leadership of John Sculley and Gil Amelio, and how the company performed when Steve Jobs ran the company.  Many people, including close friends of Steve Jobs, even those that work at Apple say that ‘Apple is not the same with Steve Jobs‘.

While Steve Jobs did pick his successor, Tim Cook, who had shadowed the former CEO for many, many years, to run the company.  Questions still come to surface as to how well the company will be run under the rein of Cook.  While Steve Jobs was more innovation-minded, Tim Cook is proving to be more ‘business’ related.  Recently, the board showed concern to Tim Cook at the rate of innovation at Apple currently.

Over all, Larry Ellison thinks that the dark days of Apple will repeat in the future.  Do you agree? disagree?
