Nokia-Lumia-1520-2-620x480Nokia is looking to get into the phablet market with their new Lumia 1520 phablet.  The phablet is very identical to the normal sized Lumia series phones, however, just with a larger sized screen.  The company is supposedly targeting its biggest rival, the Samsung Galaxy Note, to try and take away some market share.

According to a new tip from reliable evleaks (via Twitter), Nokia will most likely introduce the Lumia 1520 on September 26 event.  After the announcement, the phablet will likely launch in sometime November to give time for production and things to settle in.

The Nokia Lumia 1520 is the first Windows Phone that will come with the GDR3 update, which will allow Windows Phone to support 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution screens, and also rumored Driving Mode that will disable certain functions of the phone while you are driving and the phone is paired with the car’s bluetooth radio.  Along with that, the phablet is expected to feature a 6-inch screen with 1080p HD resolution, a Quad-core Snapdragon processor (800, perhaps), 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 20-megapixel camera, and a microSD slot.
