Virgin Mobile selling iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s at $100 off

virginmobileiphone5c5sThe prepaid market is starting to sell the new iPhones now.  If you’re not looking to go with the big four to get your iPhone, then you may want to look at Virgin Mobile because they have a deal for you.

Virgin Mobile is now selling the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s at a $100 discounted rate.  This means that the iPhone 5c, which originally costs $549 (16 GB) and $649 (32 GB) will now run you $449.99 (16 GB) and $549.99 (32 GB) respectively.  For the iPhone 5s, originally costing $649 (16 GB), $749 (32 GB), $849 (64 GB) will now run you $549.99, $649.99, and $749.99 respectively.

This is a pretty good deal considering that the iPhone 5c and 5s just came out.  The phone are currently very hard to find due to huge demand and Apple currently not able to keep up with demand.  Recently, Apple pushed production of the gold iPhone 5s by 33% due to that model being the most popular right now.

Virgin Mobile is a Sprint subsidiary that runs on CDMA network.  The Sprint-CDMA model is in a league of its own when it comes to the iPhone models.  While the Verizon iPhones (LTE equipped) are required by FCC to be unlocked due to spectrum regulations, Sprint’s iPhones remain locked to its network.  If you’re looking to stick with Virgin Mobile, or plan on going to Sprint later on, then you should go for this deal.  However, if you plan to travel internationally or want to take your iPhone to another carrier such as T-Mobile or AT&T, you’re out of luck.
