Get an early walkthrough of the Nexus 5 with this video

LG-Nexus-5-FCC-640x49712:05 PM – Google’s new Nexus 5 smartphone is just around the corner.  The company is rumored to launch the Nexus 5 on Tuesday, October 15, without a press conference.  There have been many rumors and leaks going around for quite a while, and now tomorrow, we may find out officially what the Nexus 5 is made of.

In a new video posted, we get a full 7-minute early walk-through of what the Nexus 5 looks like.  The individual in the video gives every angle of the pure Google smartphone, and even shows off some apps running.

The Nexus 5 is expected to sport top notch hardware under the hood.  Designed by LG, some things to expect are 5-inch full HD display, a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 chipset from Qualcomm, 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, a 2,300 mAh battery, NFC and Android 4.4 KitKat. Oh, can’t forget that it will also support wireless charging.  The Nexus 4 only supports HSPA+ networking, but it’s expected that the Nexus 5 will undoubtedly support LTE connectivity.

Here’s one of the most interesting points you will see that will attract thousands of buyers, the price of the Nexus 5.  Much like the Nexus 4, which costs an unbelievable $199 off-contract pricing for 8 GB version, and $249 for 16 GB version.  Most smartphones these days such as the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the iPhone 5s start off at $199 with a 2-year contract, so getting the Nexus phone from Google is a steal.  For Nexus 5 pricing, it is predicted that Google will price it $299 for 16 GB storage, and offering 32 GB storage for $399.  These prices are still off-contract, mind you.  The 32 GB version of the Nexus 5 will feature a larger sized battery.

In the video, you will notice that there’s references of “Key Lime Pie”, which refers to what the next version of Android was supposed to be called, but Google changed it to KitKat, as officially announced.  This means the video was made quite a while ago, but you get the idea of the main purpose.

Take a look at the video and let us know what you think.
