AT&T flips the 4G LTE switch in 12 new markets

ATT-4G-LTE12:00 PM – United State’s second largest carrier AT&T has been hard at work to deploy its 4G LTE network.  The company still trails behind Verizon, but its not far off.  While Big Red may boast about covering the most markets right now, AT&T claims it has nation’s fastest and most reliable 4G LTE network.

As of today, AT&T has turned on its 4G LTE network in 12 new markets.  This brings AT&T’s LTE network to a total of 488 markets.

Here’s are the markets that just received AT&T’s 4G LTE network:

  • Durango, CO
  • Elmira, NY
  • Appleton, WI
  • Fond du Lac, WI
  • Oshkosh, WI
  • Kauai, HI
  • Poplar Bluff, MO
  • Sikeston, MO
  • Pottsville, PA
  • Terre Haute, IN
  • Burley, ID
  • Twin Falls, ID

The company also recently announced its new roaming partnership with Canada’s carrier Rogers, and UK’s carrier Everything Everywhere (EE).  AT&T customers can now enjoy 4G LTE network while traveling abroad in those areas.
