New leak suggests 512GB OLED iPhone 8 could retail for as much as $1,199

Benjamin Geskin, a well-known smartphone leaker is back at it again on Monday with a new leak. This time, he leaks the possible pricing for the upcoming OLED iPhone 8.

His tweet suggests that the entry-level iPhone 8 (iPhone X?) will have 64GB of on-board storage and will cost $999. If you want more storage, the second option is 256GB which will run $1,099 and 512GB storage will cost $1,199.

Currently, here’s what the iPhone 7 Plus models cost in the US:

  • 32GB — $769
  • 128GB — $869
  • 256GB — $969

If you compare the costs, the new iPhone 8 will cost quite a bit more than any of the current models. It’s possible that the current model pricing will be used for the iPhone 7s/7s Plus models and the higher price tag of $999 will be the start for the iPhone 8.

Numerous reports have also suggested that Apple will go with the new iPhone 8 to be called “iPhone X” and call the other two iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.
