Sprint has announced a new deal when upgrading to an iPhone 8, rather this is a new upgraded deal to the one it announced previously. The carrier will now be offering an 18-month lease for free when you trade in an existing high-end device instead of the original 50 percent off lease it was originally offering. The device will need to meet the carrier’s criteria.
Talking more about the deal, after the 18-month lease period is over, customers will be able to return the phone and upgrade to a new device, or pay out six more months at the regular $29.17 / month price and own the phone outright.
It’s worth noting that the discounted $0 / month is only valid if you’re activating a new line and trading in an iPhone 7, 7 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Plus, or Note 8. This means that existing Sprint customers won’t get the newly discounted price.
Customers that are already on Sprint or new customers trading in an older device will still only be able to get the same 50 percent off as previously announced. If you’ve already pre-ordered the phone, the company says it will be applying the new offer automatically to the current pre-orders.
