Online streaming service Hulu is replacing its CEO Mike Hopkins. Hopkins has been with the company since 2013 and is now out. Replacing him will be Randy Freer, who is another Fox executive. He has been Fox’s president and chief operating officer.

Mike Hopkins is leaving the company to run Sony TV after running Hulu for four years. Sony TV has been restructuring its leadership for the past year now. Hopkins will report directly to Sony Pictures  Entertainment boss Tony Vinciquerra. Both Vinciquerra and Hopkins have worked together previously at Fox.

After winning the Emmys with “The Handmaid’s Tale,” it’s unclear how Hulu is actually doing. Hulu has stated that its subscriber base has increased, but has not announced any specific numbers in over a year. Hulu is owned jointly by Disney, Fox, and Comcast.
