Sprint tries to compete with T-Mobile by offering 5 Unlimited lines for $100

Sprint-owned Boost Mobile is offering a pretty sweet deal, if you’re in the market for a new wireless plan. Boost Mobile, Sprint’s prepaid brand, just fired shots at MetroPCS and T-Mobile. Earlier this week, MetroPCS brought out an offer where they will give you four lines for $100. Now it seems like Boost isn’t going down without a fight.

Starting this Friday, Boost will now offer five lines of unlimited data at $100, all taxes and fees included. That’s right, five lines for $100, everything included. Even if you’re not a big fan of Sprint’s slow network (but getting better!), it’s hard to argue that this five for $100 deal isn’t good.

Boost Mobile’s deal is fairly similar to T-Mobile’s. The first line will cost you $100 a month, and the four lines after that are free. There are some things you need to know, however. The “unlimited” data on the plan means that you get truly unlimited LTE speeds up to 23 GB per month, with some limits on content. You will be able to stream video up to 480p resolution, gaming up to 2Mbps, and music up to 500Kbps.

If you happen to go above the 23 GB limit, whether it’s in one day or ten, you will be subject to deprioritization by the carrier. This means that during the times of congestion, you will more than likely see slower speeds than others. This deal is definitely a good one. If you’re in the market for a new wireless plan and looking to cut down your wireless bill, this might not be a bad deal to take advantage of.
