After a successful Destiny 2 launch by Bungie and Activision, the game is now set to get its first expansion. Named Curse of Osiris, Destiny 2 will see its first expansion on December 5th for consoles. The date was for the release was announced alongside a new trailer at Sony’s Paris Games Week conference.
The trailer teases the upcoming Curse of Osiris expansion. We previous saw the expansion details leak, but this is the first official look into the release of the expansion and the actual release date.
Looking at the trailer, it seems that the Curse of Osiris expansion will heavily focus on Vex invasion of Mercury, with players encountering Osiris. For Destiny 1 players, this name should definitely ring some bells, where in the first game, “Trials of Osiris” was a competitive multiplayer game mode.
With new expansion comes new goodies. Curse of Osiris expansion will have new loot, new planet to explore, new activities, a higher level cap (presumably), as well as overall game improvements. Curse of Osiris expansion is set to be released on December 5th.
