The outage seems to have started around 1 PM ET/2 PM CT. Some users are reporting either a complete outage or slow services. We have reached out to Comcast for more details, comment, and a timeline for when the service should be back up. We will update this report if we hear back.
Level3 issued a statement after resolving the problem: “On Monday, November 6th, our network experienced a service disruption affecting some customers with IP-based services. The disruption was caused by a configuration error. We know how important these services are to our customers. Our technicians were able to restore service within approximately 90 minutes.“
