If you’re interested in buying a Subaru, then head over to your local dealership because Subaru has finally released the pricing for its latest and hottest WRX STI and BRZ cars.
When Subaru announced the WRX STI Type RA and BRZ tS earlier this year, many people went a bit crazy because of how packed the cars were and what they offered under the hood. This is why the Japanese manufacturer only plans to make 500 examples of each car.
Let’s talk about the WRX STI Type RA. It’s a car much like the regular STI, but has a lot more lightweight, tuned suspension, and changes inside the EJ25 motor like tweaking the ECU and fitting stronger pistons. With these changes and many more, the car’s MSRP will be a little over $50,000 after destination. Quite pricey, right? There’s a cheaper option available with all the bells and whistles.
Introducing the BRZ tS, where the tS stands for “tuned by STI.” This car is a bit less packed when it comes to its all-wheel-drive counterpart, but still has a lot to offer. The car still offers the same naturally aspirated FA20, but now offers a host of changes to the chassis and suspension. The tS will come with 18-inch wheels for the first time, and have Michelin Pilot Sport rubber on them. In terms of chassis changes, it includes an under hood unit to help stiffen the front end. They also come with brakes courtesy of Brembo, with beefed up discs and calipers on both front and rear end. Everything is of course tuned by STI, and these are just some of the changes. So what’s the price for everything for the BRZ tS? It costs just $33,495.
It’s really good to see Subaru listening to feedback and offering car enthusiasts the WRX and BRZ they’ve wanted. Hopefully these limited editions satisfy true enthusiasts and get into the right hands too.
