Lyft brings its ride-booking Concierge service to businesses of all sizes

Businesses of all sizes, your excitement levels are about to climb. Lyft has finally opened doors for Concierge to businesses and organizations of all sizes.

The Concierge program allows members to hail rides for other people, giving companies of all sizes a way to offer some extra touch of customer service to their clients, especially if clients aren’t able to call for a ride on their own.

The program originally launched in 2016 when Lyft teamed up with National Medtrans Network in New York City. It was a perfect place to start because most residents don’t have cars and it allowed more convenience to bring patients to the doctor.

After partnership with National Medtrans Network, Lyft partnered up with more companies, including CareMore, GoGoGrandparent, and JetBlue. In their partnership with JetBlue, for example, the company can call a Lyft to offer their passengers or crew a seamless experience in their travels, while GoGoGrandparent cal get a ride for their seniors who call the number from a landline.

While this program was previously limited to certain partnerships, it is now open to any company, any size. You have to sign up for a Lyft Business account and add a payment method. You can then hail almost any type of Lyft ride for employees and clients alike. It’s worth noting that companies will be able to track passengers’ journeys in real time. If you don’t want to be tracked by your employer or anyone else, it might be better to call a ride on your own and get reimbursed for the cost.
