Amazon will now deliver Whole Foods products right at your doorstep in two hours

When we heard that Amazon had bought Whole Foods and was integrating the chain into its business, we were left with some questions as to how exactly will Amazon make it work. Of course, we had some ideas but figured it would be a while before Amazon would make a substantial move. Well, it appears that Amazon has fully embraced the supermarket chain as part of its identity by making goods available for purchase via its Prime Now service.

Unfortunately, if you were thinking everyone can take advantage of Prime Now service, there’s some bad news. For now, the offering is only available in select Austin, Cincinnati, Dallas and Virginia Beach neighborhoods, but Amazon plans to expand the service to more cities throughout the year.

Under the Prime Now service, you will be able to order fresh produce, seafood, meat and other organic food (even select alcohol!) that you would normally buy when visiting Whole Foods stores and have them delivered right to your home doorstep in two hours. If you want it after than two hours, you can pay $8 to get your order delivered in one hour, as long as your order is worth at least $35. Keep in mind that Whole Foods delivery is only available from 8AM to 10PM, so you can’t rely on it for your midnight cravings.

If you want to take advantage of the delivery service, all you have to do is head on over to Prime Now’s website or download the app. From there, you check your Zip code to see if it’s available in your area.

In a statement, Whole Foods Market co-founder and CEO John Mackey said:

“We’re happy to bring our customers the convenience of free two-hour delivery through Prime Now and access to thousands of natural and organic groceries and locally sourced favorites. Together, we have already lowered prices on many items, and this offering makes Prime customers’ lives even easier.”
