Now live: Zero-fee stock trading app Robinhood brings commission-free cryptocurrency trading

Robinhood, the zero-fee stock trading app, has announced its plan to enable users to buy and sell Bitcoin and Ethereum last month. The company is now making good on its promise to bring fee-free cryptocurrency trading on its platform.

Starting immediately, you can use Robinhood to trade Bitcoin and Ethereum in California, Massachusetts, Missouri, Montana and New Hampshire. The company says it plans to expand to more states at a later time.

If you don’t live in one of the states that we mentioned, you still have the capability to commit or and track market data for all 16 cryptocurrencies from the Robinhood app. You will have access to a new Robinhood feed, which provides a way for users to talk about cryptocurrency, news and market shifts in real time. Robinhood Feed is currently only available to a limited number of folks, so you’ll need to update your app to see if you’re one of the individuals that can access it.
