New report says next Assassin’s Creed game will take place in Greece

It appears that Ubisoft is looking to take the Assassin’s Creed series to Greek soil. Sources told Liam Robertson that Ubisoft has planned for the next game to take place in Ancient Greece since Origins was in development. Currently unnamed, the entry went into production in 2017.

Here’s something worth noting: the game won’t be going back to the series’ annual roots. Instead, the game is expected to be released in late 2019. The confirmed platforms on which the game is expected to be released are PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. This means that the Nintendo Switch version is unlikely, but it may still be possible.

We’ll have more information to release about Ubisoft’s next installment of Assassin’s Creed as more details are released.
