Last week, Microsoft introduced a trade-in program that would allow customers to trade-in their device and get $200 credit towards a Microsoft product purchase. Now according to a new report from ZDNet, the company has decided to increase the trade-in credit value of up to $350.
The trade-in credit is good for purchase towards any Windows Phone or a Window Tablet. This means if you decide to trade in your Samsung Galaxy S3 and get $250 for it, you can use that credit towards a Windows Phone such as Lumia 920 or 1020. You could also use that credit towards any Windows Tablet such as the Surface RT, which starts at $399, or Surface Pro which starts at $799.
This new promotion is available for anyone to take advantage of. A partnership between Microsoft and Clover Wireless will allow the company to calculate how much your trade-in is worth. Of course the better the condition of your device, the more trade-in value it holds.
