Microsoft recently announced that it will be offering 15 GB of free storage space to all of those losing their free 20 GB storage iCloud storage from Apple. The Cupertino giant extended an offer to MobileMe users by giving them 20 GB of free iCloud storage for a period of time and now the offer is coming to an end.
The company is trying to take advantage of the situation. Microsoft is offering users 15GB extra storage on top of the 7 GB storage that you already get for free, so that is 22 GB all together free, for 1 year.
This offer was brought to everyone from Microsoft’s SkyDrive twitter account. This is what they said:
Did Apple cancel your extra MobileMe storage? Fwd the downgrade email to [email protected] for an extra 15GB of SkyDrive for 1 year
As nice as this offer sounds, you should consider that there are several features that many other platforms lack that iCloud offers. One of the features being that you could easily restore from iCloud after resetting your phone. If you would like to take advantage of the flexibility of iCloud, then it would be a better option for you to stay with iCloud and pay the few extra bucks.
What are your thoughts? Will you go with Microsoft or stick with Apple?
