Apple has announced the public release of OS X 10 Mavericks. The company’s main goals with the new software was to improve battery life, making changes to power efficiency, GPU performance, and even better CPU performance.
For example with the new MacBook Air, if you are watching a video, you can an extra hour with the new software. There’s a new feature called “Compressed Memory” where the software makes extra space in your active memory so that you can run more applications so you never slow down.
In the graphics department, main focus was integrated graphics. The GPU and CPU work together using the same memory to work together. With Mavericks, the two work together to provide boost to each side. If you need more performance with GPU, then the CPU will provide extra power to the GPU in order to perform better, and vice-versa.
There is an 1.8x faster performance. There are so many other so many other features such as shared links, enhanced notifications, tags in Finder, website notifications and big improvements in multiple displays, so there are no problems.
There are also more apps to the Mac, such as Maps native app (with Flyover), iBooks, Textbooks, and so much more.
The company wants to get the latest technologies, most innovative features, and robust security to its users.
The software is available to the public for FREE in the Mac App store.
