11:50 AM – Every since the launch of the iPhone 5s, the smartphone has been in ridiculous demand and hard to find. Especially the gold iPhone 5s, which has been nearly impossible to find unless you pre-order it. The iPhone 5c hasn’t been performing too well and remains widely available in any color.
Recent reports suggest that Apple has been cutting iPhone 5c order from manufacturers in order to ramp up production for the 5s. According to new report from MacRumors, it seems Apple’s shift may be working and is now affecting shipping times.
According to the report, the shipping times in Apple’s online store have come down to 3-5 business days. This is a major improvement over 1-2 weeks which has stood for a while now, and right after launch, it said 3-5 weeks. These shipping times improved in markets such as United States, Canada, Mexico and the Asia-Pacific. In Europe however, shipping time still remains at 1-2 weeks.
This is especially good since holiday’s are just upon us. The company would not want to lose any potential business, so it’s very good to see the company focusing majority of the attention on iPhone 5s demand.
If you’ve been waiting for Apple to speed up production and not have to wait, then you best get to your wireless carrier’s retail store, or on Apple’s website to order yourself an iPhone 5s now. The iPhone 5s pricing starts at $199 (16 GB) for on-contract devices, and at $649 (16 GB) for unlocked versions.
