5:15 PM – A while back, we reported that Motorola has introduced a cost-sensitive smartphone called the Moto G. The company announced the Moto X earlier this year, which is a high-priced smartphone off-contract, so to counter that, they released a low-cost alternative, the Moto G.
Initially, the Moto G launch in European market and Brazil where the prepaid market is booming. Then more regions were added to the sheet and now the United States has been added.
Motorola has announced that Moto G is now available for purchase in the United States and just in time for the holidays too. The low-cost smartphone is available at astonishing price of $179. You get an unlocked, contract-free smartphone, directly from Motorola.
The low-cost smartphone brings several things to the table that the Moto X brings, such as the option to swap the back cover with a new one of a different color. There are seven colors available: white, black, dark blue, light blue, yellow, red, and pink. If you want to make more changes to your Moto G, bumpers and flip covers are also available for change.
The Moto G does lack a few hardware features such as LTE connectivity and a smaller battery. But for the cost, you get a very nice smartphone.
Will you be purchasing one?
