2:15 PM — We have heard a lot about the LG G Flex lately. The G Flex by LG has came into the new “curved smartphone” category where it continues to impress customers. So far, the smartphone was only available in South Korean, however this is going to change soon. LG will be launching on three United States carrier’s, which are AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. While we don’t exactly know when the G Flex will be launching on AT&T and T-Mobile, we know when it will be launching on Sprint’s network.
Starting February 7, you can get the LG G Flex from Sprint. The carrier will be making the curved smartphone available to its customers for just $299 with a 2-year contract. The 6-inch smartphone seems big in your hand, but since it’s curved, it seems a bit smaller. As a added bonus from Sprint, if you pre-order the device, you will receive a free Quickwindow Folio Case. Most of us normally buy a case when we get a new smartphone, so Sprint is making that easier for customers interested in the G Flex by providing them with a free case.
If you want to buy the device outright, it will cost you $650. Keep in mind that Sprint is a CDMA network, so the G Flex version you buy will limit you to what networks you can use it on. If you want to get a fully unlocked G Flex, you can order it directly from LG, or you can wait until either T-Mobile or AT&T get it and then you can purchase it from them. It’s worth noting that Sprint’s LTE network is still quite small and definitely not up to par with AT&T and Verizon’s LTE networks. So choose carefully if you wish to go with Sprint.
The LG G Flex is a curved smartphone that has quite beefy under the hood. It comes with a 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 and 2GB RAM. For the screen, it has a 6in Curved POLED with 1280 x 720 resolution (720p HD). If you’re the type of person to take a lot of photos, it sports a 13MP rear camera, and 2.1MP front camera. Taking a lot of pictures and videos can decrease battery life, but don’t worry, the 3,500 mAh battery will cover for you. It has 4G LTE radio, 32 GB storage and Android 4.2.2.
