Apple’s iPhone 8 event is still a few weeks away, but the excitement around the new iPhones is astounding and perhaps even bigger than any previous iPhone release. Apple will mostly likely have a very limited quantity of iPhone 8’s at launch, which may make it hard for you to get your hands on the highly-anticipated headset.
A new report from 9to5Mac states that carriers are already making preparations for a very hectic iPhone launch. One particular carrier, Germany’s Telekom recently put up a new page on its website that allows users to reserve a spot for smartphone orders that haven’t even been announced or released yet.
A snippet from the page:
Now you can secure your reservation service ticket online. Once manufacturers such as Samsung, Apple, Huawei, etc. present their latest smartphones, we invite you actively to redeem your ticket. In this way, you automatically benefit from a preferred delivery.
The carrier hasn’t exclusively made the page for iPhone, rather for all smartphones. Due to the upcoming high demand and limited quantity of the iPhone 8, this is a clever move on Telekom’s part to attract attention and subscribers.
We still don’t know when the iPhone 8 will be actually released, that remains in question. But at least carriers are already taking steps to make the process easier for you and themselves to meet demand.
