Microsoft will be holding a Surface keynote next month in London

Microsoft’s Surface chief announced that they will hold a keynote speech in London next month, more specifically at the end of October. Microsoft is also holding its annual Future Decoded event in London from October 31st to November 1st. The company has a trend of launching new Surface devices in October, so we most likely will see at least one new device this year.

The company has previously stated that they plan to release a LTE version of the Surface Pro, which could be the new version of the Surface tablet that the company reveals next month. The Surface Pro will also more than likely receive hardware upgrades.

It’s also expected that Microsoft will launch ARM-powered Windows laptops with a range of PC makers, but it’s unclear if they will use ARM processors in its own Surface lineup. The company still plans to partner with Qualcomm to release Qualcomm-powered devices.

Microsoft spokesperson said that “We are on track to see Windows 10 on Snapdragon devices become available this year as previously shared.” In addition, “Microsoft and Qualcomm continue to work closely with our OEM partners ASUS, HP and Lenovo in bringing Always Connected devices featuring always-on LTE connectivity and great battery life to market.”
