Google’s announcement for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL is less than a week away, and it seems like leaks are on the rise already. Ahead of the October 4th event, we are getting a look into the technical specifications of the upcoming Google phones.
According to Android Authority, who provided us with all of the surrounding details, give us inside to Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL hardware, which they got from “an exclusive source.” The Pixel 2 XL will sport a new all-screen design and will be the only Google phone to rock it. The phone features a curved display with a screen-to-body ratio between 80% and 85%. In addition, it will feature dual stereo speakers on the front and no headphone jack. The report also said that only certain markets will receive USB-C headphones in the box.
Speaking more about specs, looks like we will get a QHD wide color gamut screen with Gorilla Glass 5 glass, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, choice of 64GB and 128GB storage, front and rear Pixel-branded cameras with OIS and Google Imaging Chip, and sporting a 3,520 mAh battery.
Now that we’ve covered the Pixel 2 XL, let’s talk about the Pixel 2. It seems that the Pixel 2 won’t be getting as much love as its bigger counterpart. The phone will have almost identical specs, however, will have a 2,700 mAh battery and a smaller Full HD display. The report doesn’t mention anything about actual screen sizes and RAM details.
Both Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are expected to be IP67 certified — meaning dust and water resistance — and will come with Android Oreo out of the box.
