Google at its hardware event on wednesday announced the highly-anticipated Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones. Up until today, there have been numerous leaks that suggest these new devices will be a big step-up from their predecessors with not only powerful hardware but also more integrated and powerful software.
Talking about Pixel 2, the smaller device comes with a 5-inch screen, features Full-HD OLED display with 100,000:1 contrast ratio, front-facing stereo speakers, and comes in color choices of “Kind of Blue,” “Black,” and “Clearly White.”
Moving into Pixel 2 XL, it comes with a 6-inch screen size pOLED, QHD+ (a significant leap over the Pixel XL’s 5.5-inch screen), comes in “Just Black” and “Black and White.” In addition, it comes with circular polarizer integrated.
Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL both feature always-in display.
Both phones come equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM, and will offer in 64GB and 128GB mode options.
Pixel 2 will launch in a few weeks on October 19th, the Pixel 2 XL will not be available until November 15th. The 64GB Pixel 2 XL will cost $849, while the 128GB Pixel 2 XL will retail for $949.
