Google seems to always be struggling when trying to create hardware because it appears that even with the Pixel 2, the company still can’t quite hit the spot like industry veterans can. Despite Pixel 2’s screen having issues, which could potentially be fixed with a future software update, or LG simply improves the quality of the OLED screens, there are much more problems for the Pixel 2.
New tests show that not only are the Pixel 2 phones easily scratched, but also bend, very easily. That’s right… bendable. Remind you of anything?
Pixel 2 reviewers have stated that Pixel 2 phones feel like a cheap plasticky phone because Google decided to cover the aluminum body with paint. The problem here is that this approach will get the device scratched a lot faster and easier than a metal body would.
YouTube channel JerryRigEverything did his usual torture and stress tests on the Pixel 2, and the results were, well, disappointing to say the least. It turns out that not only does the device get scratched easily but will also look super ugly with scratches. Unlikely, but it could happen. Scratches can be dealt with and you can put up with them, but what about bends?
That’s right, it turns out that the Pixel 2 is easily and won’t take too much pressure to bend as well. Remember the iPhone 6 bend problems? Well, it appears that the Pixel 2 suffers from the same issue as well. Take a look at the video below.
