Amazon and Whole Foods Market today announced a new set of discounts for Prime members that involved price cuts for even Thanksgiving items such as Turkey, just in time for the holiday’s, right? The company is bringing discounts to Organic 365 items and other organic brands as well. These discounts have already went live on Whole Foods’ website.
Bringing more discounts to Prime members is a sign that the Amazon is looking to bring higher value to Prime members and leverage its $13.7 billion acquisition of Whole Foods Market. Amazon isn’t just focusing on amazing online deals but rather also bringing value to Prime members in-store. They’re focused on bringing a better overall experience no matter if you’re shopping online or in-store.
Whole Foods’ press release says that “this offer is a sneak preview of the special savings and in-store benefits Prime members can expect when Prime becomes the official rewards program of Whole Foods Market.” This means we can definitely expect more from Amazon by bringing further price cuts to Whole Foods to attract more buyers.
While Amazon is offering an additional 50-cent discounts on turkey’s, the company is also lowering prices on Whole Foods’ 365 line that include items such as chicken breasts, organic broccoli, salad mixes, shrimp, and sweet potatoes. The company has also reduced prices on Whole Foods partner brands such as Eden Foods, Pacific Foods, Organic Valley, and Lundberg Family Farms.
This move is a clear indication that Amazon is also heavily focused on in-store customer experience, not just online. While Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals are expected to be amazing this shopping season, Amazon is also bringing great deals to Whole Foods. If you’re an avid Whole Foods shopper, it may be a good idea to head to the nearest store location to you and check out some of these great deals.
