One of the hottest smartphones of 2017 so far has been the iPhone X, which for Apple is a hit. Apple is trying their best to meet demand for the iPhone X, production has seen improvements, and you may even get your iPhone X in time for the holiday break. Even though the iPhone X is a great smartphone, the Galaxy Note 8 and Pixel 2 series smartphones are good competitors, but still, the iPhone X is better. Other companies area already looking to launch some new flagship smartphones as early as January to better compete with the iPhone X.
According to report from Business Korea, the Galaxy S9 will not be the only smartphone to launch at CES 2018. LG’s G7 smartphone will also be unveiled at the show, further giving us indication that there is fierce competition for the iPhone X coming. LG G6 was announced at MWC 2017, and was one of the first smartphones of the year to have a full-screen display.
When Samsung S8 launched, the LG G6 stood no chance. The Galaxy S8 had a better overall design, better components, and even enjoyed the exclusivity with the Snapdragon 835 for some time. That chip later started to power the Galaxy Note 8, LG V30, OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T, and many other smartphones.
Business Korea quoting Tech Advisor says that the the LG G7 and S9 will share the snapdragon 845 processor. The LG G7 is expected to feature an OLED display, fingerprint sensor under the screen rather than on the back, and several other notable features. The Galaxy S9 is expected to have a rear-facing fingerprint sensor but will be in a better location. The LG G7 has a chance to gain good traction if the fingerprint sensor inside the screen performs well.
