Destiny 2‘s first expansion was released a few weeks ago, Curse of Osiris, and now we’ve discovered some new juicy news about the game’s upcoming second expansion. The expansion details were leaked on the PlayStation Store.
An anonymous user on Reddit uploaded a screenshot of Destiny 2‘s second expansion on the PS Store, giving us details about God of Mars, as it’s called. According to the listing on PS Store, God of Mars will give players new story missions, adventures, new armor and gear, new weapons, new co-op activities, new competitive multiplayer arenas, and surprisingly, a new enemy faction.
God of Mars will bring a new destination called the Frigid Vale, in which players will find the Clovis Grove and Charlemagne’s vault. Charlemagne is a Warmind that was meant to be released in the original Destiny game, but was held back and is now being brought to life in this expansion.
According to the listing, God of Mars is expected to arrive in March 2018, which matches up with the Spring 2018 date that Bungie has previously announced for Destiny 2‘s second expansion. The expansion is expected to be at the same level as the first one in terms of how much content is dropped by Bungie, so don’t be too surprised if there isn’t a lot to do. For all we know, most of it could be locked behind Eververse, Destiny 2‘s in-game micro-transaction NPC.
