At a Samsung TV event this morning, the company announced that their huge 146-inch 4K TV, made of MicroLED panels and named ‘The Wall,’ will be available for consumers to purchase starting this coming August. Samsung didn’t provide any pricing for the TV, but seeing as how packed this TV is, you can expect for it to cost a pretty penny, that’s for sure.
The TV is a scaled-down version of their previous 34-foot 4K screen that was aimed at home market, and it’s rich and bright colors came off looking like other OLED sets. This was an interesting move by Samsung because it chose to skip the technology for MicroLED to avoid OLED’s downsides such as shorter lifespan and burn-in effects.
When pricing and availability information is released, we will update you.
