CBS is planning more All Access shows to better compete with Netflix

If you’re a fan of All Access Streaming service from CBS, be on the lookout because there are new shows coming your way. At an investor conference in Florida, COO Joseph Ianniello confirmed that there’s more content coming to the service: “We’re doubling down there. You’re going to see six to seven originals on CBS All Access in the next 12 months,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

According to Ianniello, the service is following up the success of Star Truck: Discovery with The Good Fight, its copy comedy No Activity and the upcoming Jordan Peele-involved The Twilight Zone reboot. Adding new shows to the service will help the platform better compete with Netflix, though it’s worth mentioning that All Access is still rolling out internationally. Right now, expansion to Canada and Australia are test markets until the company brings the service to more markets internationally.

Per Hollywood Reporter, Ianniello said that CBS is focused on bringing All Access to the level Netflix is at. “We obviously watch Netflix and we see what they can do and say — what percentage of Netflix can we be, based on the content we have?”
