Google makes it easier for you to download all of your Chrome passwords

Remember all of those passwords you have saved in Chrome? Well, if you ever felt like wanting to move them elsewhere, you may get to soon. Chrome users will soon be able to export their saved passwords in a text file in a few easy steps. Frankly, it’s never been an impossible text to do this, but it required a lot more work to getting them.

Revealed by Chrome evangelist Francois Beaufort on Google+, Google is planning a feature that will let you export your passwords a lot more easily. Though, there’s no timeframe for this feature and is being tested by developers.

If you want to try it now, switch to dev mode, search for “passwords” in Chrome settings, then look for the three dot menu named “saved passwords” and click “export passwords.” From there, everything will be exported into a text (.csv) file which you can use to import easily into other password managers.
