MLB’s streaming service is coming to YouTube TV

For you baseball fans out there that are looking to find a way out of your cable TV bill, you may finally have an answer and reason to cut the cord. MLB.tv is coming to YouTube TV. Both YouTube and MLB are expanding their partnership that originally began in 2017. Their partnership will include a bunch of sponsorship extras, which basically means a lot more promotion activity before and during games, but the deal will also include bringing MLB Network to YouTube TV from today. MLB.tv will come in the near future.

There is no current timeline or launch details, but what we do know is that there will be an additional fee involved. Right now, MLB.tc costs $90 per year for a single-team or $116 per year/$25 per month for all teams. If YouTube TV can rival these costs, it may very well help draw fans away from their cable networks.

At this time though, it appears that both parties are waiting to see how the MLB Network performs with YouTube TV before making further commitments are made about MLB.tv. This is a definite win for YouTube TV though, that’s for sure. It’ll have a chance to bring on baseball fans.
