Amazon continues to work hard in making online shopping easy without using a bank card, and now it’s bringing a new solution to the market: a debit card. The company has just launched its first debit card, Amazon Rechargeable, in Mexico (via Reuters).
Unlike a conventional debit or credit card, you can top it using cash, and load it with the equivalent of $967 US every month. At the moment of signing up, you can get a virtual card (only need to give basic name, gender and date of birth information), and anyone who loads Rechargeable with the equivalent of $27 of more will be able to get a physical card.
It’s worth mentioning that the card isn’t limited to using it on just Amazon. You can use the card to shop on other store so nline, or even take advantage of paying for services like Uber, Spotify and Netflix. If you get the physical card, you can enjoy using it at retail stores. And if you need to get cash right away, you can use the card at an ATM.
