For example, if someone has proof or knowledge about an app that’s violating Facebook’s terms of service by collecting and transferring people’s data to a third-party, whether for scams, political influence or for money, they can notify Facebook through this program. If it turns out that the tip helps stop abuse, Facebook will “shut down the offending app and take legal action against the company selling or buying the data, if necessary.”

Here are the details: the reward can be as high as $40,000, and Facebook says that there is no maximum payout.
