Car by Volvo is a service the Swedish car maker Volvo introduced to the world for its car subscription service. If you’re interested in the service, but don’t like the company’s SUVs, there’s a new car option for you. The company has added the V60 wagon to its car subscription lineup.
If you’re not familiar with Care by Volvo, it’s a bit like leasing a car, but there are several benefits added. For example, it includes insurance, maintenance like oil changes, wear and tear items like tires, wiper blades and even roadside assistance. Currently, the service is available on the automaker’s small XC40 SUV with the starting price of $600 a month.
At this time, we don’t know what the rate will be for the V60 wagon. Much like the rest of the current Volvo lineup, it will include the Sensus infotainment system, Pilot Assist semi-autonomous driving capabilities, and several of the safety features (Run-off Road Mitigation, Cross Traffic Alert, Oncoming Lane Mitigation) that Volvo is known for.
When the V60 lands in the United States next year, it will be available in two configurations. The first is the T5 front wheel drive that will push 250 horsepower, and the second is the T6 that will have all-wheel drive with 316 horsepower. There will also be two plug-in hybrids available as options.
