Right now, Jeff Bezos is worth around $130 billion, which makes him the wealthiest person on the planet. His company, Amazon, has passed Alphabet, the owner of Google, to become the second most valuable company in the US.
For the third day straight, Google’s stock fell while Amazon’s stock has bounced back. Because of this, Amazon’s market value has continued to climb and is about $765 billion, which is almost $3 billion more than Google.
The only company worth more is Apple. Recently though, Google has been dragged down by concerns over the Facebook scandal. Last year, the search engine giant admitted that Russia-backed troll farms bought ads on YouTube, Gmail and other Google platforms leading up to the 2016 presidential elections. Company investors are worried that this controversy will continue to haunt the company.
