While other products on Apple’s lineup have received love, the Mac mini has not. It’s been three years since the Mac mini received an update. Generally, if a product has not received an update in years, it means that the product is more than likely dead. With Apple though, they care deeply about all of their products, and the Mac mini is no exception.
An Apple fan couldn’t hold out any longer, so he wrote an email to Apple CEO Tim Cook directly, asking him for a future of the Mac mini.
Published by MacRumors, here’s the email:
Hi Tim,
I love the Mac Mini but it’s been over 3 years now without an update.
Are we going to see anything in the pipeline anytime soon?
Thanks
While the fan wasn’t expecting a response, to their surprise, did get a response from the CEO. The reply reads:
Krar,
I’m glad you love the Mac mini. We love it too. Our customers have found so many creative and interesting uses for Mac mini. While it is not time to share any details, we do plan for Mac mini to be an important part of our product line going forward.
Best,
Tim
Cook confirmed that the Mac mini was indeed part of Apple’s future product lineup. Though he declined to provide any additional details, it’s reassuring for Mac mini lovers that the device may receive an update in the near future. Apple is working on something, just a matter of time.
