Are dedicated assistant buttons a good idea? LG thinks so. Samsung brought a dedicated Bixby button in their smartphones and now LG is looking to do the same with the Google Assistant.
LG is expected to unveil the G7 ThinQ at a New York event on May 2nd. Besides the ThinQ artificial intelligence, the G7 is expected to have another feature: a dedicated button for Google Assistant.
CNET reports that the button is located on the left side of the phone with the power button on the right, and the fingerprint reader on the back, as usual. Much like the V30S, the G7 ThinQ will come with custom commands to ask Google Assistant.
