We first learned of the Xbox One X back at E3 and many folks were excited to get their hands on the new enhanced console. At Gamescom 2017, the company is finally allowing the public to preorder the console. Microsoft is creating a special edition, which Xbox One X: the Project Scorpio Edition.
The company has priced the console at $499. The Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition includes a Project Scorpio design on console, and code name on both the controller and console.

The packaging for the Xbox One X is a bit special. The retail packaging includes a giant X (like the original Xbox), console graphic pattern, as well as Project Scorpio branding. Everything is purely cosmetic.

We saw Sony unveil the PS4 Pro last year, and this is Microsoft’s answer to Sony. The Xbox One X seems more powerful at 6 teraflops of graphical power as opposed to 4.2 teraflops currently found in the PS4 Pro. Microsoft released a list of over 100 games that the company said will be ready to take advantage of Xbox One X’s power at launch.
One of the most anticipated titles, Crackdown 3, has been delayed until spring of next year, announced by Microsoft. This means Xbox One X will be without a major Xbox-exclusive game on launch day.
With the Xbox One X, Microsoft is heavily focusing on “true 4K” gaming. The company has promised that games will run very smoothly, faster, and better not only in 4K but also on those 1080p screens.
The Xbox One X is a $100 premium over the PS4 Pro. Microsoft may have done good job of selling the Xbox One X to consumers, lets see how it performs once it’s released. Then the company will really see the demand for the Xbox One X from consumers.
