Microsoft this week announced a new program called Surface Plus for users and businesses. This new program allows you to upgrade your current Surface computer for a new one every 18 months. Paying for the Surface PC, no matter which one you want, such as the Surface Laptop, Surface Book, or Surface Pro, this new program will make it a lot easier on you to upgrade.
No matter how great the Surface computers are, they aren’t the cheapest. This is where Microsoft is introducing a new purchasing option. You will be able to pay for your Surface computer in installments, over at least 24 months. If you pay for the laptop or PC in 24 months, you will get 0% APR. After the initial 24 month period, there will be a 19.99% APR charge.
As long as you return your current Surface device, qualifying customers will be able to upgrade every 18 months at no extra cost. Of course the device has to be fully functional. You will also get a new 24-month payment plan and credit agreement with Klarna. At this time, we aren’t sure if the 0% APR will apply to new contracts.
With your participation in the Surface plan program, you will get free year of in-store support, technical assistance, and dedicated service and support.
If you’re interested in the business version of the plan, it includes additional perks, such as financing a 55-inch Surface Hub, Office 365 for Business, flexible terms, and device protection. You can read more here.
Lastly, it’s back to school specials time! If you’re interested, Microsoft has announced their back to school promotion, which you can check out here.
