New leak reveals Samsung Galaxy Mega with AT&T branding

Recently, Sony has been the only one to offer a phablet with the largest screen size available in the market.  The Sony Xperia Z Ultra right now offers the highest screen size at 6.4-inch, but that may change pretty soon.  Samsung has been coming up with their own new phablet of its own to compete with the Sony Xperia X Ultra.

In a new leak from evleaks, the picture shows us an AT&T branded Samsung Galaxy Mega (SGH-I527 Melinus).  We first heard about this device from an FCC filing back in June, with supporting AT&T’s LTE bands.  So of course this phablet will offer LTE.

Rumored specs of the device are 6.3-inch Super Clear LCD display with resolution of 720 x 1280 (233 ppi), a dual-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB native storage with 64GB expandable option (microSD), 8MP rear-facing camera, 1.9MP front facing camera, 3200mAh battery and Android 4.2.2 pre-installed and ready to go.

It seems like Samsung is looking to base the Mega off of the Galaxy Note III.  The device seems to be offering minimal bezel and maximum screen experience.  It looks like a bigger version of the Galaxy Note III, however, has downgraded specs.  Currently, we do not know the price range of the device or the release date, but we will keep you posted.
