Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ owners have been reporting touchscreen issues with their devices. There were a few Reddit threads that were pointed out by Android Police as well as threads on Samsung’s own support forms where owners said they were having issues with their phones registering touches.
Where owners saw issues on their device varied, and some said that they were able to resolve the problem with a factory reset or by turning up the sensitivity. It’s likely that most will need a new phone to resolve this issue as it seems like a hardware problem.
In a statement to Engadget, Samsung said, “We are looking into a limited number of reports of Galaxy S9/S9+ touchscreen responsiveness issues.” The company encouraged owners that are experiencing problems to directly contact the company to help resolve.
At Samsung, customer satisfaction is core to our business and we aim to deliver the best possible experience. We are looking into a limited number of reports of Galaxy S9/S9+ touchscreen responsiveness issues. We are working with affected customers and investigating.
We encourage any customer with questions to contact us directly at 1-800-SAMSUNG.
