If you have Sony’s WH-100XM3 headphones, there’s some great news for you. At CES 2019, Sony announced that they are introducing Amazon’s Alexa to their WH-1000XM3 headphones (built-in) via an update issued through Headphone Connect app.
What does this exactly mean? Well, with the press of a button, you can ask your virtual assistant to play your favorite music, ask search inquiries, skip songs you don’t want to listen to, as well as connect to your smart home tech.
Here’s where we have some more exciting news. Sony is bringing this update to their two older models: the WH-1000XM2 and WI-1000X. No, you didn’t read that wrong. For those of you that have previous versions of Sony’s incredible noise-cancelling headphones, you’ll now be able to take advantage of Alexa.
This is great to see that while Sony already has Google Assistant embedded in their headphones, another option doesn’t hurt. There may be some users that prefer to use Alexa over Google Assistant.
