Apple is expected to release its new HomePod next month. Now competitors are starting to piece together competition for the device. In this case, Sony is planning to release a HomePod competitor. Named LF-S50G (interesting name, Sony), the company’s new HomePod competitor looks a lot like a clone more than anything.

What’s more interesting is that it not only looks like HomePod but also functions like it too, but with Google Assistant instead of Siri. Sony compares the product to Google Home and says that its product will stand out in the market due to incredible sound quality. For Sony to say this isn’t wrong because they do make incredible products.

Sony’s new HomePod-clone will recognize gesture controls to play music, let you skip tracks, and even adjust volume. Instead of you shouting out to talk to the speaker, gestures will definitely help.

The speaker is due to come out in October for $199.99.
