New York’s delivery-only restaurant, Ando, from famed Momofuku chef David Chang, will be shutting down operations. The service has apparently been acquired by UberEATS (via TechCrunch).
The delivery-only service has been working with UberEATS since it launched back in 2016, and will now be fully integrated within UberEATS.
Right now, we don’t have a clear indication of how things will go or what the end product might look like. Ando has now been absorbed into UberEATS, and it seems that the company is now looking to have more control over the food it delivers, from start (order placement) to finish (food delivery). This is also another sign that Uber wants to have more control over the quality of food that’s being delivered to customers.
