The NBA 2K League is ready to make its way to Twitch debut. Today, it announced that Twitch will begin streaming the inaugural game on May 1st with many more to come. The platform and league have signed a multi-year partnership deal.
If you’re a fan of the NBA 2K League, you will be able to watch livestreams for the first season’s 199 games exclusively on Twitch, and if you want to take it a step further, you can purchase them on-demand after they air. Aside from the weekly games, mid-season tournament, playoffs and finals are all included.
This deal shouldn’t surprise anyone, especially those that follow. It’s streamed on NBA TV, but it’s near that the NBA 2K League is looking for other broadcast partners, so this is one of the reasons why the partnership with Twitch works.
