As if the iPhone 5S wasn’t already hard enough to get for customers, it just got even harder. According to a new report from 9to5Mac, unnamed carrier sources have told them that at launch tomorrow, there will be only silver iPhone 5s available for purchase.
Inventory for the gold or white iPhone 5s is currently next to none. Those of you that are already waiting for the iPhone 5s outside of carrier retail stores are in for a disappointment if you are looking to purchased the white or gold iPhone 5s. This doesn’t mean that a shipment may not arrive later on, or perhaps through out the day, but starting in the morning, the availability is extremely limited.
AT&T however, has stated that they will be making all colors of the iPhone 5s available for order online. This doesn’t mean that they have inventory available. It simply means that when the next batch of 5s come, it’s a first-come first-serve basis depending on the orders they get. Other carriers will more than likely follow the same path to offering the iPhone 5s for order online, and then ship out the phone when the company gets new shipment.
This is disappointing news, however, if you’re in the market for a silver iPhone 5s, you may be lucky enough to get your hands on it tomorrow morning.
