Today, Samsung took the wraps off their new Galaxy S10 offerings. The company definitely brought it with four new models: S10E, S10, S10+ and S10 5G.
With the new models, Samsung introduced 6 camera sensors that bring a lot to the table. See our breakdown of all sensors below:
- 3D rear camera: it has Time-of-Flight sensor (ToF), which is used for depth-sensing and AR, not security like Apple’s Face ID.
- 8-megapixel front-facing camera: this is for depth-sensing (f2.2) or a 3D front-facing camera.
- 10-megapixel front-facing camera: it has a f1.9 aperture.
- 16-megapixel ultrawide-angle lens: this sensor is for fixed focus, no OIS, 123-degre FOV (close to the human eye), and a f2.2 aperture.
- 12-megapixel telephoto lens: this is for 2x optical zoon, OIS, 45-degree FOV, and f2.4 aperture.
- 12-megapixel wide-angle lens: this is the main rear lens that has OIS, a 77-degree field of view (FOV), dual-aperture (automatically lets in more light for low-light shots), and the apertures are f1.5 and f2.4.
The more lenses you want, the more you will have to spend. The Galaxy S10 5G model comes with four rear camera and two front-facing cameras, but pricing for that particular model has yet to be announced.
It’s worth mentioning that Galaxy S10 models are offered in the following color options: Flamingo Pink, Canary Yellow, Prism Green, Prism Blue, Prism Black, and Prism White. Unfortunately, if you’re a US buyer, you will not have the option to get the Canary Yellow and Prism Green. Color options will vary depending on the region in the world.
